The Maternal, Newborn, Child & Youth Strategic Clinical Network (MNCY SCN) aims to catalyze real, sustainable change and improve outcomes for expectant mothers and children of all ages throughout Alberta.
Drawing on the experience and expertise of its core committee members, the MNCY SCN is focused on accessing research, creating partnerships, and engaging patients and families to find new solutions that will improve patient care. They work closely with Alberta’s front-line health care providers on how to best implement these new ideas.
To ensure all Albertans have access to high-quality care and sustainable services, the MNCY SCN looks at the big picture, exploring how improvements can be made across the health system.
The SCN is aligned with strong clinician leadership and a unique collaboration of other health care professionals, patients, researchers, educators, and policy makers.
The mandate of the SCN is to deliver high-quality, innovative health care that is based on evidence, centered on patients, accessible within the optimal timeframe, and sustainable by taxpayers.
